Born on August 14, 1960, in the village of Supsa, Lanchkhuti district, Maia Zhgenti-Kiladze graduated from her local secondary school in 1977. Driven by a passion for language and storytelling, she pursued higher education at Tbilisi State University, graduating from the Faculty of Philology and later the Faculty of Journalism.

Her professional journey began as a correspondent for state newspapers. Following her time in journalism, she dedicated her career to education, serving as a philologist in both public and private schools.

Beyond her professional life, Maia is a devoted artist. Ribbon embroidery is her lifelong hobby, and her intricate works are frequently showcased in various exhibitions. A true lover of nature, she finds profound joy in capturing the beauty of flowers and “bringing them to life” through her art.
