Maka Kokaia: Profession — “Bringing Joy to People”
I was born and raised in a large, warm family of educators, where connecting with people and sharing knowledge was a way of life. Although I am a teacher by profession, I discovered my true calling in the magical world of handmade art—a sanctuary that has been my primary source of happiness since childhood.
My passion for craftsmanship is a family legacy; my mother taught us the art of knitting, sparking my desire to create unique and extraordinary objects. I have been dedicated to this field for 12 years, constantly evolving and refining my craft. For me, this is more than just work. When asked about my profession, I simply reply: “My profession is making people happy.”
There is immense fulfillment in knowing that my creations contribute to a person’s moment of joy. My goal is to reach a wider audience with even more sophisticated and impressive works. I am deeply in love with what I do because I create from a place of pure happiness, and I believe that this love resonates in every piece I bring to life.
